Fire rated boards can be applied to building elements such as structural steel, metal clad walls, timber floors, and concrete floors and walls to prevent the spread of fire, smoke and gases from one part of a building to another.

Promat

Promasil-1100 super

Promasil-1100 Super are large-size, lightweight insulating boards with very good thermal properties. Their homogeneous and stable mineral matrix structure guaranties excellent mechanical and thermal characteristics

Promasil-1100 Super is the result of combining Promaxon technology, an exclusively engineered mineral matrix structure that brings controlled smaller pore size in the calcium silicate matrix, together with introducing selected opacifiers in the mineral composition to further lower the thermal conductivity. Promasil-1100 Super is the replacement for the Vermiculux board and can be used in a majority of its applications.

promatect 100

Promatect 100 comprises autoclaved calcium silicate spheres (Promaxon is a synthetic hydrated calcium silicate in spherical form) bound in a mineral matrix. PromaX technology provides excellent fire performance in most applications.

Promatect 100 is off-white in colour. One face is smooth and ready to form a finished surface, able to receive almost any form of architectural/finish treatment. The reverse face is sanded.

Promatect 100 is resistant to the effects of moisture and will not physically deteriorate when used in damp or humid conditions. Performance characteristics are not degraded by age or moisture. However, Promatect 100 is not designed for use in areas subject to continual damp or high temperatures. Promatect 100 is for internal applications only.

promatect 250

Promatect 250 comprises autoclaved calcium silicate spheres bound in a mineral matrix and provides excellent fire performance in most applications.

It 250 is off-white in colour. One face is smooth and ready to form a finished surface, able to receive almost any form of architectural/finish treatment. The reverse face is sanded.

Promatect 250 is resistant to the effects of moisture and will not physically deteriorate when used in damp or humid conditions. Performance characteristics are not degraded by age or moisture. However, Promatec 250 is not designed for use in areas subject to continual damp or high temperatures. Promatec 250 is for internal applications only.

promatect-l500

Promatect-L500 is a lightweight mineral matrix engineered board which is off-white/beige in colour and has a smooth sanded surface on one face with a lightly honeycombed texture on the reverse face.

Promatect-L500 is resistant to the effects of moisture and will not physically deteriorate when used in damp or humid conditions. Performance characteristics are not degraded by age or moisture. Untreated surfaces will absorb water which can cause some loss of strength but strength is regained after drying. Promatec-L500 does not encourage mould growth and is resistant to attack by vermin.

Promatect-L500 is chemically inert and is resistant to diluted acids and alkalis. Boards should be protected where high chemical concentrations are likely to occur.

Promatect-H

Promatect-H is a non combustible matrix engineered mineral board reinforced with selected fibres and fillers. It does not contain formaldehyde.

Promatect-H is off-white in colour and has a smooth finish on one face with a sanded reverse face. The board can be left undecorated or easily finished with paints, wallpapers or tiles.

Promatect-H is resistant to the effects of moisture and will not physically deteriorate when used in damp or humid conditions. Whilst its performance characteristics are not degraded by age or moisture, Promatect-H is not designed for application in areas subject to continual damp or high temperatures.

Promatect-L is a lightweight mineral matrix engineered board which is white in colour and has a smooth sanded surface on one face with a lightly honeycombed texture on the reverse face.

Promatect-L is resistant to the effects of moisture and will not physically deteriorate when used in damp or humid conditions. Performance characteristics are not degraded by age or moisture. durasteel

Durasteel is a composite board, manufactured with a fibre-reinforced, cement core and perforated galvanised steel outer that is mechanically bonded to each surface making the sheets highly durable, impact resistant and giving a 60 to 240 minute timeframe of fire protection.

It can be constructed with stainless steel if it needs greater resistance to corrosion. The sheets are blast and moisture resistant and come with a 40+ year warranty.

Trafalgar

trafalgar maxilite board

Trafalgar Maxilite is a lightweight, high performance fire rated board.  Maxilite is a calcium silicate-based product, bonded together with non organic binders. It is completely free from asbestos, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and ozone depleting potential (ODP).  

Maxilite is an extremely effective insulating refractory board. The board is stable under high temperature stress and remains strong and crack free, even when exposed to fully developed fires.  

Maxilite has been approved for fire ratings of 90 minutes, 120 minutes and 240 minutes.

Gyprock

Gyprock Glasroc F board

Gyprock Glasroc F is a 30mm thick, paperless, high density, square edged gypsum board designed as a frameless encasement for structural steel beams and columns to provide a fire rating of up to FRL 120/–/–.

The board has been engineered with glass tissue immediately below the surface of the board and glass fibre rovings throughout the core providing excellent impact resistance. Glasroc has a smooth surface and great moisture tolerance in partially exposed situations.
