Swart & Sons was founded on our solid plastering skills. We are still known as Swart Plastering.
We have worked on most of Adelaide's heritage buildings over the past 60 years.
Today we specialise mainly in heritage works with a team of dedicated tradesmen who just love plastering old buildings.
Australian Army Barracks
Baulderstone HNA 1 and 2 this project was for the Australian Army's new battalions relocating to Adelaide's northern suburbs. We completed over $250,000.00 dollars in traditional plastering (solid plaster on block work) to shower blocks, toilets and service areas.
We also rendered Australia's first squash courts for six years. With the tolerance for the walls plus or minus 1mm it was fair to say our team were a little nervous when the clerk of works put the straight edge on the walls, but we passed. The squash courts had a special cement render which was extremely hard to apply but the surface is magnificent.
St Peters Library
In 2012 we combined with Tagara Builders to restore the St Peters Library. This project took 12 months and involved everything from walls to ceilings with traditional methods and materials. The finished project speaks volumes for our commitment and skills when it comes to heritage plaster works.
